CLUES SOUGHT IN SLAYING OF VETERAN
Vietnam veteran Peter Styffe was found beaten to death in a dingy stairway in the All-Right Parking facility at 575 Washington Street in downtown Boston on the morning of April 14. He had been robbed, police said.
Boston Police Detective Kenneth Dorch believes Styffe, 45, was lured to the location and ambushed. Police are seeking the public's help in finding the attacker.
Styffe had been in Boston for only a couple of days when he was slain. He had spent that time at the St. Francis House shelter and visiting friends at the New England Veterans Service Center.
Police hope that anyone who might have seen something connected to Styffe's death or who was in the parking garage area at the time of the attack will come forward to be interviewed by investigators.
Anyone who saw Styffe or has any information regarding the attack should contact the police Crime Stoppers Unit at (800) 494-TIPS.
Police are offering up to $1,000 reward for information that helps to solve the Styffe case.
All information will remain confidential and anonymity is assured.

The case remains unsolved after more than 17 years.
